  • Yes, Residents should plan to work 20 hours a week through their Practicum Internship portion of the Residency. They will be paid for those hours. Residents should expect to spend about 10 hours a week on the academic portion of the Residency and therefore could find an additional part-time job (not to exceed 10 hours a week) to supplement their income. We strongly advise you not to apply if you have a considerable amount of student or consumer debt.

  • One of the primary goals of the Residency is to help prepare students for their next step in vocational ministry. Some may join a church staff, some may decide to attend seminary, and some may even decide to pursue other opportunities outside of ministry.   • Each resident will have the option to opt into a host home for the duration of the program at no additional cost. Trusted and committed members of our church community will open their homes to host our residents. If a resident lives locally, they can choose to live there for the duration of the program as well. 

  • Residents will participate in all four of The Vox Institute Core Classes: Christian Theology, Old Testament, New Testament, & Christian Thought. They will also participate in seminars and forums on a variety of Spiritual Formation topics. Each week they will meet with the Residency Cohort Leader for ongoing personal discipleship and spiritual development. 

  • While the Residency is not yet an accredited program, the courses offered are at a college level. We do hope to one day have an accredited program to offer for our residents.
